Cindy

"Hi! I'm Cindy, co-owner of Pals for Pets. I have been taking care of pets for friends in San Diego for eight years. After leaving corporate America and looking for a different way to live my life, I decided to mix my passion for animals with my business sense. Poof! Pals for Pets came to life! I have listened to lots of people in San Diego discuss concerns about what to do with their pets while they are away. Pets do know when you are gone and they can often display signs of anxiety. The answer is pet sitting. I decided to offer a variety of services because just like humans, every animal is different and the care for them may differ. We want to offer the best care for your pets while you are away."

"I adopted my own dog, Tuffy, from the humane society in September, 2000. I grew up with cats and dogs and have always felt a connection with animals. In fact, I used to watch my neigbors animals when I was a youngster! When I am with your pets, I will display the same affection to yours as I do to mine. It's important they feel loved and cared for, especially while you are away."

Pam

"Hi, I'm Pam, one of the pet-sitters and dog walkers for Pals for Pets. I am originally from the East Coast but my family led me out West. My grandparents are a huge reason why I became such an avid animal lover, with all of our trips to the Cincinnati and San Diego Zoo. I have always had a strong desire to work with animals growing up, but never was sure exactly what realm I would end up working in. My family always had adopted pets of some sort; dogs, fish, guinea pigs, hamsters.

After graduating from college, I decided to become a pet groomer. I then moved to California and a wonderful opportunity came my way to work for Pals for Pets. I feel so fortunate to work for such a great company, a place where everyone who works there has the same love for animals."

Theresa

"My name is Theresa and I have lived in San Diego almost all of my life. I have been raised around many different and interesting animals. My love for animals goes far beyond the feeding and watering. Helping to ensure a bright future for every animal is my goal in life. Whether I am donating my time for a local dog rescue, or donating to ASPCA, my focus will always be the common good of creatures great and small. I've raised everything from chickens to parrots, turtles to lizards, cats, dogs, ferret's, and fish."

Karen

"Hi! I'm Karen, co-owner of Pals for Pets. I grew up in a household where we always had pets in our home and I have found that I bond easily with animals of all kinds. I have been pet sitting for several years for friends and family. I am a native of New England and moved to San Diego in 2004. I was thrilled to meet Cindy and become part of Pals for Pets! I have previously earned my Master’s Degree in Education and Counseling from the University of New Hampshire and have worked for the past ten years in the non-profit sector for agencies that primarily serve disadvantaged youth."

"Now, as I have become co-owner of the business, I am excited about this change in career and the opportunity to invest solely into everthing pet sitting has to offer. I truly believe that in home pet care is the best way to trust that your pet is well taken care of while you are away. I have seen first hand the difference that pet sitting can make in putting the pet owner’s mind at ease, alleviating stress of the animal and ensuring the safety of your home while you are away."

Jill

"My husband, Jim, and I have lived in Scripps Ranch since 1974. First, we raised our two children and then I began to work in the SD School District. I retired from Toler Elementary in 2005. My love affair with animals began with our first puppy Boxer in 1974! Since then, we have had two more Boxers, two mixed breeds, a German Shepard, and now Liberty, our Standard Poodle! We also had our kitty Heidi for 15 years. I do so enjoy being around and lovingly caring for pets!!"
